The Bride of Christ

Someone told me over the weekend that the difference between a bride and a harlot is that a bride is willing to stay with her husband "until death do her part".  A harlot is just interested in what she can get to satisfy her own needs.  It's scary to know that there are some of both sitting in churches today.  Have we gotten to the place in our walk with Chirst that we can say, "Nevertheless, not my will but yours be done" ? Are we willing to lay down our life to walk with HIM wherever HE LEADS? Have you given your life over in total surrender to the Lover of your soul? There is no sweeter place to be than in the place of total surrender.  A place where you finally decide that NO MATTER THE COST, you will serve the Lord.  At times, that may call for letting go of family, friends, or whatever may be a hindrace in your relationship with HIM. Are you willing?  Are you a bride or are you a harlot?  That's a deep one to think about.  Ok, now I have something to throw into that mix.  Maybe, just maybe, you have decided to follow Jesus. You have taken that first step of surrender to His plan for your life and satan attacks and knocks you down.  A bride will get back up everytime. Are you ready to get back up? If you aren't a bride that's ready for her husband, are you girlfriend? or maybe you have just had one encounter with Him (went on a date of sorts)? Keep going and growing with Him and you will be prepared to meet Him when he comes back.  Stay connected with Him in total intimacy and you will be ready for WHATEVER HE CALLS YOU TO DO.  It's not always easy, in fact a lot of times it can be tough, but it's always worth it.  He died for you and He wants your life to be in HIM and HE WANTS TO BE IN YOU and give you HOPE!! I pray that anyone that has had a romance with Jesus continue in that romance......  Today, the woman that we brough to church had an encounter with Jesus and she surrendered to HIM.  I pray the Holy Spirit leads her and guides her to a very intimate place with the Lover of her soul.  I pray that He visit with her and keep her from anything that satan would try to plant in her!!! I pray that for you as well.  Yall have a great day with the Lord.  I am on my way to a mission in Niteroi Brazil and will not be the same when I come home!!! :)
